Macromedia is public-beta testing a new version of Flash Player.
This version offers a series of performance improvements designed to make Flash-based content up to ten times faster in some cases, Macromedia claims.
The update means Flash content will be as fast on Macs as on Windows machines.
The beta also focuses on video performance, which has been improved in the player by "15-70 per cent", says Macromedia. The beta also includes an auto-update capability.
