Formac will release two storage products in the UK next month.
The company will introduce a 24x-10x-40 Designer Series drive and a combination CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. The new products follow Formac's release last month of 16x, 12x and 8x speed CD-RWs.
Formac's FireWire-connected CD-RW integrates Formac's BurnProof technology. Formac claims this minimizes the chance of wasted CDs caused by buffer underrun errors. It also compensates for slower source-drives, and lets users burn CDs in the background.
The company is also launching the Designer Combo 12x-10x-32x-8x CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. This will play and burn CDs and also play DVDs. It also integrates Formac's BurnProof technology and FireWire connectivity.
The products both ship with Toast 4.1.2 and cost £269.
