Bestshot, a supplier of royalty-free video clips, has announced it will give away three high-resolution video clips over the Web to anyone who registers for a catalogue on its Web site.
The incentive is an attempt by the company to popularise its service, and to show the emerging digital-video market how easy it can be to search for and acquire video clips online.
John Davis, Bestshot's president, said: "With more people using Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Media 100 and After FX we've had an amazing response to our video library. However, we get the sense that many people in the post production, broadcast and video market are just making the transition from tape to digital. They are still unsure about sourcing video from the Web."
Low resolution clips can be accessed on Bestshot's site. Once visitors have registered, they can download broadcast-quality clips in NTSC video format.
