Digit Magazine and Electronic Arts have teamed-up to offer a life-changing competition prize to three winners – a job as an Electronic Arts games designer.
Electronics Arts is a major games publisher, originating The Sims, SimCity, Harry Potter and Medal of Honor.
Three jobs are available: 3D animator, 3D character designer, and game-world builder. Full details are in Digit, which reached the newsstand yesterday (Thursday, May 2). Entrants are asked to submit samples of their work and to enter 3D challenges to win the prizes.
Finalists be interviewed by judges from fields including games design, new media and publishing.
Electronic Arts recruitment manager Matt Jeffery said: “Cutting-edge graphics require cutting-edge artists.
“We want the best people creating the best games and working in the best environment, and Digit provides the perfect platform from which to find the top one per cent of graphics talent in the UK today.”
Digit editor Matthew Bath said: “The UK game-design industry is often overlooked as a serious creative career, yet it is one of the powerhouses of interactive entertainment.”
