Google has added Safari 1.2.1 to the list of browsers supported by its controversial Gmail email service.
Gmail offers 1GB of storage – the equivalent of 500,000 pages of email for each user.
It also supports Mac versions of Netscape, Mozilla, and Mozilla Firefox.
Gmail, which was announced on April Fools Day, is currently in beta testing. Google, which has been accused of threatening users' privacy because Gmail will scan emails for content, inserting advertising in personal messages, has not yet announced a start date for the service.
