Google intends adding audio and video-clip search features to its services.
Company founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page allegedly discussed these plans while attending a recent conference in Idaho, reports the New York Post.
However, as Google is approaching an Initial Public Offering the company was unable to confirm these reports.
The company's decision to list on Nasdaq is widely expected to achieve valuation of $2.7 billion.
In its filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission ? which has yet to approve the listing ? Google's company manifesto included a promise that "it would not be evil" and that it would "strive to make the world a better place".
