Harvard University is the latest seat of learning to climb aboard the podcast bandwagon, releasing video lectures for free to the public.
This year lectures from Harvard computer science course "Understanding computers and the Internet" will be made available in audio and video podcasts through iTunes.
Harvard first released audio-only podcasts on the topic in September. The introduction of video support within the iPod drove it to add video to its transmissions.
In the US, both Princeton and Stanford Universities have launched educational podcasts.
The UK's Portsmouth University revealed its podcast plans this month.
