Aspyr has announced that Homeworld 2 will ship at the end of September.
Just like its successful predecessor, Homeworld 2 is a real-time strategy game set in space. Players will follow the Hiigarans and their leader Karan S'jet as they travel to the oldest region of the galaxy, in search of the truth behind their exile.
It's Homeworld's 3D-space setting that differentiates the game from other real-time strategy titles. While building up and protecting their base from enemies, players are able to do 360-degree camera rotations and move their ships around with no limitations.
Homeworld will require Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later, a PowerPC G4/G5 800MHz or faster, 256MB RAM (512MB recommended), 1GB of free disk space, 3D Graphics Acceleration (ATI Radeon 7500/nVidia GeForce 2 or better), 32MB of video ram (VRAM) and an 8X CD-ROM.
