Hewlett-Packard has released the HP DeskJet 1125C A3 colour ink-jet printer.
The printer is aimed at the small or home office (SoHo) market. Its built-in software features help users create booklets, posters, leaflets, banners and billboards up to nine times the size of an A3 printout.
In what HP claims to be a first, the printer can handle a variety of media, including card-stock up to 0.3mm, transparencies, envelopes, plain and HP speciality papers. The printer can also handle photo-quality printing on any media, at speeds up to 5.5ppm in colour, or seven ppm in black-&-white.
The machine has USB connectivity and is compatible with Mac OS 7.6 or later. Available in August, it costs £230 and comes with a one-year warranty.
