Griffin Technology launched its new iFill software at MacExpo Germany last week.

The new software grabs MP3 files from Internet radio stations and saves the audio to the iPod. iFill can download multiple radio stations at once.

In an attempt to ensure some degree of copy protection, the radio broadcasts are not saved to the computer's hard drive, and are protected by Apple's FairPlay digital rights management system, the company claims. The radio collection is managed using an iTunes-like interface.

German language iPod Web site has a gallery of screengrabs of the application, while iPodLounge has some additional details.

The software requires Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4, an Internet connection and an iPod. A time-limited demo of the software is available from Griffin's website.
