A series of Digital Video in Education training courses, featuring iBooks and iMovie, are scheduled to take place in Autumn.
Film Education and Denbigh ICT Centre, a recognized training provider in the field, is facilitating the training. The group promises “the highest standards of training, materials and support”.
The two-day course offers participants the chance to become an accredited trainer – the intention is to create teachers to train teachers hoping to use such 21st-century solutions in the classroom.
The sessions are aimed at Advisory Teachers, offering both practical and theoretical approaches to the use of DV across today's education curriculum.
The course has been developed from extensive training and examining experience at both Primary and Secondary levels, plus television and multimedia production work.
Training is available in five locations: Birmingham, September 16-17; London October 2-3; Bristol, November 6-7; Manchester in early December; and Glasgow, December 10-11. The courses support a maximum of 20 participants with the provision of one computer per attendee. Follow up support, development and resources are also available.
