Internet Video Magazine has announced the winners of its first-ever iMovie contest.
This aimed to identify the best short movies made using Apple's consumer video-editing application. iMovies entered into the competition were a maximum three minutes long, and had to demonstrate "creative use of effects, transitions and titles".
Nathan Burton's iMovie "Your Mac Life on the Move", won first place. The judges called this "cute, funny and very well-made". Second place went to Jamie Strutton's "action-packed and fun" iMovie "Sunday Morning", while Richard El Sheikh's "SeaWorld Water games" took third place. The latter movie was called "an extremely well-edited and creative story".
The magazine's managing editor Mark Shapiro said: "We were overwhelmed with excellent submissions that made judging very difficult."
The winning movies are available for view on the magazine's Web site.
