A US University is compiling a database of thoughts and predictions about what the Internet will be like in the future.
Elon University and the Pew Internet and American Life Database have already compiled ten years worth of ideas, so the database is full of insights about the future of Internet through the eyes of journalists, experts, and ordinary people.
The University is looking for new ideas and is asking people to fill in an online survey: the perfect Friday afternoon activity – and your chance to immortalise yourself in an Internet time capsule.
As well as the survey the site contains a searchable selection of predictive remarks made between 1990 and 1995. For example one prediction made back in 1990 was that "The next generation of personal computers will offer multi-media capacity including animation, full-motion video and context-organized instructional databases."
