Independent software developer CrispSofties has released iPod2iTunes 1.5, a track-and-playlist transfer solution for Macs.
The utility copies and synchronizes tracks and playlists between iPods and Macs within iTunes. Synchronization means users don't collect multiple copies of tracks on their disk.
The solution shows which tracks on the iPod are not on the Mac; users may select some or all of these to transfer to the Mac. Listings can be based on artist, album or genre.
The application also synchronises iPod playlists to iTunes, creating playlists containing only those tracks a user transfers to the Mac.
It requires OS X 10.1.2 and iTunes 2.0.3, and costs $20.
