Apple has launched its iTunes Music Store in Ireland.

The service emulates Apple's other services in interface and features, and songs cost €0.99 each.

As previously reported, it appears last minute negotiation hurdles delayed the Irish launch beyond its originally-anticipated October launch date.

Apple had to complete negotiations with the Irish Music Rights Organization (IMRO), however, an IMRO representative told Macworld: "We 100 per cent support legal downloading services", adding their personal impression: "I'm sure our artists will welcome iTunes Music Store (subject to a succesful outcome to our current negotiations), in my own opinion."
