As iTunes Music Store’s second anniversary approaches on April 28, Apple seems set to launch the digital music store in Australia, according to local reports.

Australia’s Courier Mail has gathered a sequence of admissions by musicians that indicate the down-under debut may be imminent. Actor Russell Crowe claims his music will be available through Apple by the end of April.

Crowe claims the store will open April 28, and that songs will cost $1.80 (Australian) per track.

Australian DJ Bexta has also claimed Apple will launch the service there.
