The media spotlight continues to point at Apple's iTunes Music Store, with the Houston Chronicle this morning publishing a review of its most recent Windows-based competitor, BuyMusic.com.
Writing in his regular Dr Mac column Bob LeVitus says: "Simply put, while iTunes Music Store is the Rolls-Royce of online music, BuyMusic.com is a Yugo."
The piece offers a collection of criticisms of BuyMusic.com's offering – in terms of usability, look-&-feel, pricing, fair use rights and built-in search engine, Apple's service wins relative praise.
Concluding the report the article says: "BuyMusic.com tries hard to look and feel like Apple's iTMS but fails miserably in almost every way."
BuyMusic.com prevented Mac users accessing its site this morning.
