iTunes Music Store today presents its free 'Single of the Week', more exclusives and playlists and a huge collection of songs for the Chinese New Year.
As reported yesterday, Apple and Universal have agreed a deal which brings a collection of 1,000 hard-to-find Chinese tracks to the store. These tracks have before only been available in specialist shops.
Apple's notes about the new additions (available in English and Chinese) read: "In celebration of the Chinese New Year (the year of the Rooster), iTunes presents some of the most exciting musicians from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Check out award-winning artist Hacken Lee and pop diva/fashion darling/movie icon Kelly Chan."
This weeks iTunes single of the week comes from South Coast six-piece, The Go! Team. Their song. "Get It Together" is described as an "upbeat instrumental complete with a catchy flute riff, dirty percussion and a scratch-tastic ending."
Apple is offering an AOL Session of Green Day live; a new category dedicated to Valentine's Day, exclusive tracks from the Boomtown Rats and a promotional video on the Kaiser Chiefs.
The Chemical Brothers new album, 'Push the Button' remains at number one today, while today's top single is 'Dakota', from the Stereophonics.
