Former Disney director Stanley Gold believes Apple CEO Steve Jobs would be a top choice as head of Walt Disney.

Gold, who left Disney in December, told The New York Post: "There are five or six guys I believe can run this company. Steve Jobs would absolutely be one of them."

Gold confirmed that he hasn't approached Jobs, nor has Jobs asked him for the job.

When he resigned on December 1 Gold seconded Roy Disney's call for the removal of Michael Eisner as chairman and CEO of the company. At the time he said: "I hope that my resignation will serve as a catalyst for change at Disney."

He shares a dislike of Eisner with Jobs. It has been suggested that one reason for the recent Pixar/Disney spilt was the fact that the two CEOs did not get along.
