Apple CEO Steve Jobs is mulling a trip to New York to attend the opening of the company's new New York Apple Store.
The 20,000-square foot underground store is situated in the underground concourse of the General Motors building at 767 Fifth Avenue. It's expected to open on May 19, and will be a 24/7 store.
At street level the shop is visible through a 32-foot glass cube (total price, $9 million) that was designed by Jobs.
AppleInsider reports that Jobs may attend the opening, but that this decision is subject to change.
"Regardless of whether Jobs attends the opening, other company executives such as senior vice president of retail Ron Johnson are expected to put in an appearance," the report explains.
