Apple CEO Steve Jobs promised built-in Podcasting support within iTunes yesterday.
Jobs was speaking at the D: All Things Digital conference, which opened yesterday. Jobs reportedly showed an upcoming version of iTunes integrating such support, which he promised would be made available within weeks.
O'Reilly Radar reports Jobs dismissing some podcasts as "Wayne's World for radio", adding, "he was very high on the podcasting phenomenon, and the excitement that millions of users have displayed about it."
Jobs also discussed the concept of iTunes support on mobile phones, pointing to Apple's patchy track record of "going through corporate orifices to get to end users".
