Lexmark has posted more printer drivers for Mac OS X.
The company's UK PR Manager, Justine Moon, said: "We made a commitment to OS X at Macworld Expo in January. It's an integral part of our policy to ensure that our printers be compatible with Mac OS X." The company promotes a platform agnostic policy - it also builds drivers for Unix and Linux operating systems.
The drivers are available for a variety of Lexmark printers. Supported models are detailed on Lexmark's Web site.
Moon confirmed that Mac OS X support is not bundled in the box with any Lexmark printers, but hinted that this would eventually be the case.
Other printer manufacturers are also involved in building Mac OS X drivers for their machines, despite a number of developer's complaints that the currently available suite of developers tools are lacking vitally important software developers kits.
