Lexmark has announced two all-in-one inkjet printing, copying and scanning devices – the X83 and X73.
The X73 is available now, but sister product X83 won't be available until October.
The X73 and X83 share certain features, including resolutions of 2,400-x-1,200 dpi. The devices flatbed scanners are equipped to handle books, reports and photographs.
The devices also have scanning resolutions of 600-x-1,200dpi, and a colour depth of 48bits. Lexmark claims the X73 and X83 can scan billions of colours.
Both all-in-ones can produce up to 99 copies from an original, and can reduce and enlarge documents.
The X83 prints at speeds of 12 pages per minute (ppm) in black, and 6ppm in colour.
This model also doubles as a standalone colour copier, producing 10 copies per minute (cpm) in black and up to 3cpm in colour. The X73 prints at 9ppm in black and 5ppm in colour.
Both models ship with Optical Character Recognition software that converts scanned documents into text.
A variety of print media can be used with both models, including heavy-weight paper, photo paper and transparencies.
The X83 is priced at £143, while the X73 costs £169.
