Adobe has posted a public beta of LiveMotion, its new Web graphics and animation software, on its Web site.

The company has also announced the product will ship in the UK in the second quarter of this year, for £240.

The software was first previewed at Seybold, and announced in the UK in February. Adobe's "Flash-killer" exports to the Flash file format, as well as standard static formats such as JPEG, TIFF and GIF.

Adobe said that while the first version does not support video, the next version will have the ability to export to formats like QuickTime.

Key features of LiveMotion include integration with Photoshop and Illustrator, and an object-based animation Timeline.
