The UK event take place over three days at the Congress Centre, Great Russell Street, London, WC1.
Day one (June 25) focuses on Broadcast video; day two takes a look at video post production; and day three concentrates on new media. Conferences are split into three sections, including conference sessions, technical seminars and live demonstrations.
The event also marks the first UK showings of Avid|DSHD Editor and Sony’s HD Cam.
Sean Bradley, Avid’s general manager of UK post-production, said: “The tour is a real opportunity to discuss industry issues and concerns with our current and future customers, and to highlight areas we are leading the way in future development.”
Content-creation Avid’s Softimage subsidiary and its audio wing, DigiDesign will also participate in the event. Softimage will discuss 3D content-creation for different industries, while DigiDesign will demonstrate its Pro tools HD digital-audio production system.
Third parties taking part in the event include: Sony, Snell & Wilcox; Anystream; Open TV; the BBC; and Sky News.
