.Mac members running Mac OS X 10.2 should download Backup 1.2.1, which Apple released last night.

The new version of Backup is available for download from the .Mac downloads section. This is available to .Mac members only and is for systems running OS X 10.2.

Backup gives .Mac members a way to save files to their .Mac account, or to CD or DVDs. By clicking a checkbox, you can choose to backup Address Book contacts, Sticky notes, iCal calendars, keychain passwords, and other Apple-related files on the hard disk. You can also add files or folders to backup. The application does not backup to external hard-drives.

Restoring files can be done from .Mac or from a CD/DVD by choosing the restore option on a drop-down menu in the Backup application.
