iView Multimedia (stand 304) announced that its iViewMediaPro software now supports Adobe's Digital Negative Specification (DNG).
DNG is a new format that's been developed by Adobe for storing digital camera RAW files. iView considers adding such support to be essential to meet the needs of digital camera users.
Adone director of product management, Kevin Connor, said: "We are so pleased with the overwhelming amount of support we have received to date for the DNG format and its adoption by thrid party suppliers.
"We developed DNG to address a real problem that our customers are facing and our hope is that companies will join us in ensuring photographers will be able to access their raw files in the future with an open standard supported by individual camera models".
iView MediaPro (a cross-platform solution, for Mac and Windows) also now lets users import and export XMP and IPTC annotations, which means users can work with more complex levels of metadata.
All the new features are available in MediaPro 2.6.2, which is available as a free download for registered users.
