The London Macintosh User Group (LMUG) is set to organize a nationwide network of similar groups.
LMUG organizers will invite members of other user groups to a meeting scheduled for October. The aim is to create national liaison between the groups to further the interests of Macintosh users. It will also help provide up-to-the-minute contact details of all member groups.
Michael Corgan, of LMUG said: "There are 30-40 user groups in the UK for the Mac, plus a further 15-20 specialist groups in which Macintosh users are represented. Since the majority of group members are dedicated Mac fans and avid readers of the Mac press, it follows that they’ll want to know more about similar groups."
LMUG is also organizing a trip to Paris Expo, leaving London via Eurostar on September 15. The trip includes two nights in four-star accommodation and return travel on September 17. The trip costs £160 to user-group members, and £175 to non-members. The booking deadline is August 1.
