Apple seems to have abandoned plans to carry an iPod Dock on a future Mac mini for a second time, a report claims.
The company was thought to have made a similar last minute U-turn on adding such a feature to the Mac mini when it was originally revealed in January 2005.
Hardware engineer Leo Bodnar then first found an unused connector within his Mac mini. He investigated this and concluded that Apple had originally planned to include an iPod Dock in the Mac mini.
AppleInsider today reports that its sources claimed initial plans for some of the next-generation Mac mini models featured an iPod Dock once again.
It claims the feature was scrapped just weeks before the new models went into production.
The report suggests the Mac minis will be available by late March/April.
