Apple's latest ad, Santa Claus, once again features the traditional PC and Mac characters that define the entire series of spots - but with a major difference - this time the entire ad is animated, with cute animated representations of the two characters.

(The use of animations to represent the two also marks just how far Apple has come along in terms of creating well-known identities for the PC/Mac duo).

The two characters are seen singing a carol with Santa Claus in a charming winter wonderland scene. The carol begins in gentle tone, before PC tries to hijack the whole thing with the admonition that viewers shouldn't buy a Mac, at Christmas or any other time of year.

The new clip is available for viewing here.

Apple emblazons the spot with the words: "Happy holidays from Apple."
