MacExpo 2005 organizers will start levying a charge for tickets to the next event (October 27-29) as of September 1.
"We are going to start charging for registration to MacExpo on September 1", the organizers confirm. "It'll be half-price from then - £6 (including VAT), rising to the full door price of £12 (including VAT) on October 1."
Free tickets will still be available through selected partners for the event, and the exhibition Web site is accepting free pre-registrations now.
Attendees of the Macworld Conference 2005, which takes place alongside MacExpo, receive free admission. Speakers at the Conference include best-selling Mac author David Pogue (presenting a Mac OS X Tiger Super Session and iLife masterclasses), Andy Ihnatko, and design guru Deke McClelland (Adobe Photoshop Masterclass).
MacExpo 2005 will take place at Olympia's National Hall in Kensington, London. While Apple hasn't confirmed it will attend the show, current confirmed exhibitors include; Adobe, AM Micro, Bose, Canon, Computers Unlimited, Computer Warehouse, Extensis, HP, Konica Minolta, MacWarehouse, Microsoft, Quark, Rapid Group and Sony.
The show will also offer five "experiences" - themed areas aimed at particular Mac user interest sectors. These include: design and publishing; digital imaging; digital audio visual; business solutions and music and games.
The gaming area will be larger than before, and new iPod areas will offer the latest acessories.
