Mobile solutions specialist E-Digital is demonstrating the Orange 3G Mobile Office data card solution to Mac users for the first time at MacExpo.
The company is demonstrating the product in conjunction with Filetransfer (MacExpo Stand 822), E-Digital will use nova media's recently announced Mobile High Speed for Mac OS X software.
Mobile High Speed for Mac OS X can be used to establish mobile UMTS/3G and GPRS Internet connections with a Mac and works with any network including Vodafone and Orange.
The software configures the Mac automatically for such connections and works with most mobile phones and PC card modems.
E-Digital's Maneesh Patel explained: "For 15- or 17-inch PowerBook users on the go, the 3G data card is now an invaluable tool.
"No longer having to get to a hotspot or fixed line connection, the mobile user can quickly access what they need, whenever they want. The Mac community - from design agencies to architects, journalists to press and event photographers - have shown great interest in 3G data technology and E-Digital are delighted to be able to demonstrate this new technology at MacExpo."
