Apple's iPod has truly entered the mainstream, with Disruptive Technology announcing its range of iPod peripherals will be stocked at high street chemist, Boots.
iPod users will be able to browse through the UK company's range of accessories at Boots the Chemist from later this month.
Disruptive Technology managing director Tom Dudderidge, said: "We are pleased that Boots has taken on the PodGear range. Our products bring additional functionality to the iPod user and support from Boots shoes that the iPod accessory market has come of age."
Accessories will be stocked at 50 large Boots outlets this month, and distribution will be expanded in the New Year, Dudderidge confirmed.
A Boots spokesperson said: "Boots is already successfully selling the iPod during this key Christmas period. As the product is so successful, the next logical step is to sell accessories, especially as our customers have already been requesting them. We hope to continue our success with the range in the New Year."
Disruptive Technology's PodGear product range includes: auto accessories the CarDock, PowerTrip and a cassette adaptor; and two iPod mini cases, the FlakJacket mini and JumpSuit mini. More details are available on the company's Web site.
