The UK's Mac show kicks off at Kensington Olympia tomorrow. The MacExpo runs from Thursday November 27 to Saturday November 29 and will offer attendees a chance to see all the latest products from Apple, including the recently-announced Power Mac Quad, PowerBook, iMac, iPod nano and the video iPod.
All the industry will be there, including the likes of Adobe, Belkin, Canon, Corel, Epson, LaCie, HP, Microsoft, and Quark. Find out more about who will be there and what they are doing by downloading the MacExpo show guide - it's an 8MB PDF.
The Macworld team can be found right next to Apple's gigantic stand at stand number 215. Drop by the Macworld stand to be entered in one of the many competitions - each day Macworld will be giving away over £2,000 worth of prizes.
We will be giving away HP photo printers, copies of Quark Express 6.5, an Elgato Eye TV Easy and Eyehome wireless systems, a Wacom Intuos 3 A6 Tablet, ZCover iPod cases, Shure e3c headphones, iDeck speaker systems, Harman Soundsticks, Sennheiser R130 wireless headphones, a Roku Soundbridge, and a black iPod nano, and more. Macworld will hold two prize-draws a day, one at midday and one at 4pm.
Macworld is also hosting a Helpdesk at the stand. Meet with an industry expert to find out a solution to your Mac-related problems. It may be necessary to make an appointment, so make your visit an early one.
The Macworld Conference will run on Thursday and Friday offering professionals advice and tips on Mac OS X and design applications. Sessions include iLife Pro, Apple's Hidden Software Secrets, How to Cheat In Photoshop, Creative Suite Expert Tips and Tricks, QuarkXPress Full Preview, iPhoto Masterclass, Adobe Photoshop Masterclass, Advanced Retouching Techniques, and more.
Speakers include author of the "For Dummies" titles, David Pogue, Macworld columnist Andy Ihnatko, graphic artist Steve Caplin, Adobe Photoshop expert Deke McClelland, photographer Martin Evening, and Quark design guru Dan Logan. If you haven't bought a ticket for the conference yet, tickets can be purchased on either day from the Balcony-level Registration Desk in the National Hall.
Other MacExpo highlights include a free seminar from Apple about how to record, edit, mix and master Guitar music on the Mac.
