The MacFest roadshow event begins on April 26 in Cambridge.
“Visitor and exhibitor attendance is looking very good,” explained show organizer, Garret Doyle.
Attendee pre-registrations are already double those of last year, and 39 vendors will attend the events. Exhibitors include Apple, Canon, Channel Dynamics, Formac, Fuji, HP, Iomega, Minolta-QMS, NEC-Mitsubishi, Palm, AM Micro, and Hermstedt.
The MacFest roadshows also feature a series of seminars, which will be video-taped (along with the rest of the event) to be streamed online at a later date as part of another project the organizers are assembling. The seminars cover such topics as: 3D Rendering, Professional Video-Editing, Music and Audio Production, and an Apple Software Overview. Apple is offering seminars on digital-video and its latest hardware and software.
Apple iMac up for grabs Places are still available – the organizers said: “We recommend anyone who hasn’t yet registered for the event should do so in order to guarantee admission.”
The Cambridge MacFest takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. An event in Manchester follows on April 30 at the Renaissance Manchester Hotel, with a London event scheduled for May 2 at the Novotel Hotel.
Admission is free, but preregistration is encouraged – pre-registered names are entered into a free draw to win a new iMac.
Show attendees can also vote in the new “Best of Fest” awards, recognizing the top exhibitor and the best products at the shows.
