Macromedia has recruited former Apple vice president Charles "Chuck" Boesenberg to its board of directors.
The company describes its new recruit as, "an established industry veteran with over 30 years experience in the technology and software markets". Boesenberg is 56-years old, according to Forbes.
Macromedia CEO Rob Burgess welcomed the new hire: "Chuck's extensive experience in the technology industry, specifically with enterprise selling, will be a great asset to the board."
Boesenberg is currently chairman and CEO of NetIQ, before which he served as president and CEO of Central Point Software, Magellan, and Integrated Systems. In those roles he "forged strategic partnerships and led integration of multiple acquisitions."
The new board member spent over nine years at IBM in senior executive sales management roles, before which he worked at Apple. He is currently on the board at Maxtor, and was a former board member at Symantec.
