US firm, Macsense has announced iParrott, its speech recognition head-set for the Mac.
iParrott’s built-in translator offers a noise cancelling ability, for speech recognition in noisy environments.
Intended to support currently available voice recognition packages, the headset minimizes background sound distortion, and is compatible with IBM’s ViaVoice and MacSpeech. It also supports the voice-enabled features of Mac OS 9.
iParrott had a flexible microphone. This is set up in the factory to tolerate a large microphone signal swing without causing distortion. Available immediately in the US, the iParrott costs $49.99.
