IDG World Expo has announced new show attractions for next month's Macworld Conference & Expo.

Reflecting the growth of the Mac industry, the event organisers also confirmed that the Moscone Center's West Hall has also been fully sold out for the first time. This complements the traditionally sold out South Hall at the Center during Macworld.

The 23-year old event takes place between 14-18 January in San Francisco's Moscone Center. This year the show introduced a new live Podcast Studio, an enhanced Digital Photography area, a state-of-the-art music studio and more.

"Macworld Conference and Expo offers attendees a hands-on, interactive show floor that enhances their Mac experience," said Paul Kent, general manager, Macworld Conference & Expo. "This year there are more ways than ever for Mac users to learn about photography, podcasting, music, blogging, and other cool ways to use their Mac."

The Podcast Studio will teach show-goers how to create their own transmissions, with guidance from leading industry practitioners.

The new Digital Photography Experience will offer product comparisons, hands-on demonstrations and training, as well as tips and techniques on cameras, printers, hosting services, asset management and more.

Sponsored by harman/kardon, Berklee College of Music will host a state-of-the-art music studio filled with Macs and Apple software, providing a self-guided tour, music production demonstrations and daily lectures.

The Macworld Learning Center will offer a host of lectures across a range of topics, including classes for new Mac users and using the platform to unlock creative potential.

With the new breed of Office for Mac imminent, Microsoft's Mac Business Unit is to host a Blogger Lounge. Bloggers are invited to drop in for a sit-down and a blog.
