Matias will debut its new OS X keyboard at Macworld Expo next week.
The keyboard carries an extra Control key, and borrows features form Matias' Tactile Pro keyboard. The company's marketing manager Vesna Vojnic said: "We wanted to offer some of the unique features of the Tactile Pro, but at a much lower cost. At $39.95, the OS X Keyboard does that and more, for less than half the price."
The additional Control key sits in the place on the keyboard many PC users are used to finding that key, and using that key can initiate commands ordinarily cast using a two-button mouse. The keyboard also repositions the Caps Lock key so it is less frequently used by mistake.
Like the Tactile Pro, the OS X Keyboard has all of the Option and
Shift-Option symbols printed on the keys.
