Macworld San Francisco organizer IDG has announced a new format for January's Conference and Expo.

The Users Conference – which runs from January 5-9 – has been reformatted into five conference tracks, addressing the hottest technology on the Mac platform. The Users Conference will introduce Mac users of all backgrounds to a wide variety of tools and techniques, covering topics from iPods to Panther and desktop movie-making.

The conference will include a number of tracks including Introducing Panther; Cool Tools – looking at new software; Creative Juice Factory – creating visual and graphic masterpieces on the Mac; Digital Video – including a session on making movies with David Pogue; and Tech Tips – with troubleshooting hints.

The Users Conference package costs $245 (£139) if purchased online before January 5.
