Macworld will produce a special edition show-guide for MacExpo 2001.

The show-guide will feature as a part of Macworld's November 8 issue, and additional copies will also be issued to show attendees. The show-guide will offer news and exhibitor information, and the decision to produce the guide is reflective of Macworld's strong support for the show and the UK Macintosh community.

The supplement will also deliver information about all the special interest areas at the show, including Digit magazine's Internet Design and Art feature, Macworld's OS X Developer's and Games-&-Edutainment features.

MacExpo will run Thursday 22, Friday 23 and Saturday 24 November. Apple has agreed to exhibit at the event, the first time it has appeared at a general interest Apple-related event since 1998. The company has concentrated on much smaller special-interest events, seminars and showcases since that time.

When the company announced plans to exhibit, Apple's UK PR Manager, David Millar, told Macworld: "MacExpo provides the right audience at the right time for us. It's a chance to meet our audience."

The exhibitor's list reads like a list of the UK Mac industry, including; Macromedia, Wacom, Hewlett-Packard, Iomega, OKI and Proxim. Resellers and distributors, including MacLine and AM Micro, will also be there.

Registration is open online. The first 3,000 to register for the event will gain free admission. Act swiftly, the event attracted over 10,000 visitors last year.
