MacFest has released details regarding seminars to be held during the UK's independent Mac show.
MacFest, sponsored by Apple Online, MacLine and Macworld is a roadshow for Mac enthusiasts. It features well-known Mac-friendly companies and a series of seminars from popular vendors. The first event runs March 13-14 at the Novotel, Hammersmith, London, with another show on March 16 at Manchester's Contact Theatre. The shows are free and open between 11am and 7pm.
Adobe, Extensis, FileMaker, Media 100, Wacom and AVIStreaming will present seminars during the show. Topics covered will include graphics workflow, database and Web-site design, audio and video streaming and font management.
Macromedia will be running a series of its “Add Life to the Web” seminars at the London event, focusing on Web design and site creation.
The organizers are also running a competition to win a Titanium PowerBook G4 which is open to all attendees. In order to win, entrants must register for the MacFest and attend either of the two MacFest locations.
