Software that lets PowerPC and Intel Macs manage a wide tranche of media through a Front Row-like interface has been updated by its developers at equinux.
MediaCentral 2.3 now supports additional TV-devices as well as Flickr and .Mac Photocasts.
The company has also updated its CoverScout album art-finding application to version 2.1.1. This has been improved to furnish more powerful discovery of album covers iTunes 7 does not carry within its catalogue.
Newly supported devices in MediaCentral include: the Miglia TVMini, the Freecom DVB-T USB Stick and the Digitus DVB-T Digital USB 2.0 TV Receiver Stick. equinux has also added support for a 'DV port', to support connected FireWire devices and the iSight.
The Radio Module of MediaCentral 2.3 has been updated to support Windows Media and Real Player streams.
The company has also introduced built-in links to make more online content available to MediaCentral, such as additional IP TV and radio stations.
The $29.95 application is available in English, German, French, Italian, Danish, Russian and Traditional Chinese. A free trial version is available for download.
