Microspothas announced Microspot 3D World 3.1.
The 3D modelling application uses Apple's QuickDraw 3D technology to provide real-time manipulation of rendered, textile-mapped 3D-objects.
The new version of the application ships with two other Microspot products – Microspot Interiors and Microspot Renderer.
Direct draw Using 3D World, it's possible to draw directly into 3D designs. The application offers drag-&-drop texturizing and lighting effects.
3D World also has VRML (Virtual Reality Mark-up Language) export features and can associate URL's with objects in the picture.
The Interiors package includes room components, furnishings and texture libraries, so a room can be designed in 3D and furniture drag-&-dropped into place. Results can then be viewed from any position or height.
Depth Microspot Renderer offers shadows, transparency, reflections and anti-aliasing to add extra depth and realism to 3D scenes. Managing director of Microspot UK Robert Coulling, said: "Microspot 3D World 3.1 is a package that is not only affordable, but unlike professional level graphics packages requires no formal training to operate."
The application costs £349. Current 3D World owners can upgrade for £99. There's a demo of the application available from Microspot.
