Microsoft has appointed former product unit manager Roz Ho to general manager of the company's Macintosh Business Unit.

Ho, who has worked with Microsoft for eleven years – three as product unit manager – replaces former head Kevin Browne.

She will lead the 150-strong unit's team in charge of Office, Internet Explorer and other applications.

Ho was previously in charge of product development, management and testing for Entourage, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express.

MacCentral reports that Microsoft will bring its MSN service to OS X early next year.
