Microsoft has posted its Internet Explorer 5.0 service release 1.
The release resolves a couple of known issues in Microsoft's Web browser for the Mac.
It fixes a problem in which the Windows Media Player, Macromedia Flash and Apple's QuickTime plug-ins could cause Internet Explorer to stop responding.
It also repairs a bug that could cause Entourage 2001 to stop responding if used at the same time as Internet Explorer 5.0.
The update is available in a variety of different language versions. There is a 216Kb .bin file, and a 292Kb .hqx file available from Microsoft's Web site.
