Prize-winning digital art from the Macworld Expo Digital Art Gallery will be exhibited to the public at three leading US art institutes.

Hosted by the Art Institutes, the images will be on display at The New England Institute of Art, The Art Institute of New York City and the Art Institute of California in San Francisco.

The exhibition consists of 30 works chosen by a respected panel of judges from the digital art community from among 1,000 submissions. The art was last displayed at Macworld Expo, San Francisco.

The art is on view today at The New England Institute of Art until August 13. It will be on view in New York from August 23 to September 17, and in San Francisco between October 1 and November 12.

Exhibition coordinator Daryl Wise said: "Computers are a fascinating tool giving ever-greater creative flexibility to professional artists, hobbyists and design students. This is a great chance for the public to see a wide range of digital images, inspired by both the graphic arts and fine arts."

Examples of the work are available online.
