MYOB has announced FirstEdge, a Mac OS X-friendly business-management application targeted at very small businesses.
MYOB FirstEdge offers features such as banking, sales and expense tracking, along with reports and at-a-glance business analysis. The software's target audience spans "from freelancers to youth clubs", and is designed to offer simple financial management.
"With FirstEdge, MYOB confirms its commitment to the Mac platform," said MYOB US general manager Cynthia Mackewicz. "It means we have extened our reach to small businesses to improve their chances of success."
Apple vice president of worldwide developer relations Ron Okamoto said: "By combining the power of Unix with ease of use, Mac OS X is the perfect platform for small business users. MYOB has been a long-time developer for the Mac and FirstEdge is another great OS X application that small-business users are going to benefit from."
MYOB FirstEdge will ship in mid-April 2003 and will be priced at $99.
