Canon has released a raft of new products at Macworld Expo, including two USB flatbed scanners and three bubble-jet printers.
The CanoScan LiDE 20 and LiDE 30 are 48-bit A4 scanners offering a one-pass scan mode, which allows users to scan multiple photos with a single pass, creating separate image files for each print. Both also offer multiple page scanning to PDF, providing an easy way to email multiple pages in a single attachment.
Both models are USB-powered. The $99 LiDE 30 offers a resolution of 1,200-x-2,400dpi, while the LiDE 20 is a $79 600-x-1,200dpi model.
Canon has also released the four-colour S530D and the six-colour S830D Bubble Jet Direct photo printers, as well as a consume model, the S330. The two photo printers offer edge-to-edge output that prints directly from a removable memory card, either from a Mac or a Bubble Jet Direct-enabled Canon PowerShot. The S330 also offers borderless prints.
The S830D retails for $399, the S530D costs $249 and the S330 is $99.
