Eskape Labs plans native Mac OS X support for all its future products.
The developers of television and video solutions plan to Carbonize and architect future apps under the Carbon development environment. Eskape also plans native Mac OS X support for its product line by the end of the fourth quarter 2001.
The company feels there are performance and development advantages in moving to Mac OS X. The system's multitasking enables television to be viewed in a window while other applications run in the background.
EskapeTV 2.0, the update to the company's TV viewing and capture application, will be the first of the company's OS X developments. The first public demo of EskapeTV 2.0 under OS X was at Macworld Expo New York.
